Securities Products and Analysis 

The training programme furnishes candidates with the prerequisite knowledge of the products as well as the trading tools and techniques. The programme assist students in the preparation for the Securities Trading based examination. Candidates who pass the examination are eligible to apply to the MAS for a representative’s license under the Securities and Futures Act or the Financial Advisers Act. Such application is subject to the approval of the MAS.

About the Trainer:  

Mr Pius Wong has more than 20 years of financial experience in both financial institutions and foreign enterprises, of which he has 7 years of active trading experience in currencies, swaps, and the money markets and 5 years in trading the equities and bond markets including emerging debt market. He has trained traders and treasury traders for clients and conducted seminars in banking operations.   Currently, he is a licensed trading representative for both futures and securities markets. He is also a trainer for securities products with CyberQuote. Prior to this, he was a consultant and VP Finance at various foreign corporations. His career path in the financial industry began with a British financial institution followed by a Dutch financial institution and as a portfolio manager in a Swiss Private Bank based in Geneva with bank-expansion responsibility in ASEAN market. He was the pioneer batch of trainees for IBF foreign exchange training scheme to be trained as a trainer.   He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institution of Technology, a Diploma in Management Studies from SIM and Diploma in Investment from IBF.
